  • Our leads are crafted using premium 100% cotton cord and a tight, traditional braiding technique that naturally distributes tension. While cotton is remarkably strong and has a slight, comfortable natural give, these leads are best suited for everyday walks and well-trained dogs.

  • Because cotton has a natural elasticity, a very heavy puller may stretch the braid slightly over time. For extra-large breeds or severe pullers, we recommend our thicker braid options to ensure maximum control and comfort for your hands.

  • Yes! We use high-quality, heavy-duty metal hook clips designed to withstand daily use. The clips feature a secure spring mechanism to ensure they stay firmly attached to your dog's collar or harness throughout your walk.

  • While our cotton braids are durable, no fabric or natural fibre lead is entirely chew-proof. We recommend supervising your dog while the lead is attached. Because chew damage compromises the safety of the line, we cannot offer replacements for chewed leads, but we are happy to offer a discount on a replacement pair!

  • One of the best perks of 100% cotton is how easy it is to clean! For minor dirt, hand-wash with warm water and mild soap. For a deeper clean, pop the lead into a mesh garment bag and wash it on a cold, delicate cycle in your washing machine. Always hang it up to air-dry completely; do not put it in the tumble dryer, as this can cause the cotton to shrink.

  • Yes, cotton handles water perfectly fine. However, because it is a natural fibre, it will absorb water and become heavy when wet. If your lead gets soaked on a rainy walk or a swim, just ensure you hang it up to air-dry completely in a well-ventilated area to keep the cotton fresh and protect the metal clip from rusting.

  • We use high-quality dyed cotton cords, but like any natural fabric (such as your favourite cotton t-shirt), slight fading can occur over time with heavy sun exposure and frequent washing. To keep the colours vibrant, wash on cold and dry out of direct, intense sunlight.

  • We offer standard lengths ranging from short traffic leads (XS 50cm-S 80cm) to classic everyday walking leads (M 100cm-XL 150cm). Our widths vary depending on the thickness of the cord used, allowing you to choose a lighter braid for smaller pups or a chunkier style for larger dogs.

  • Absolutely! We love creating unique pieces. If you want a specific colour combination to match a collar, a custom length, or a specific type of metal finish for the hook clip, just send us a message and we will do our best to bring your vision to life.

  • Every single lead is proudly braided by hand to order! Because of the handmade nature of our business, please allow 3-5 business days for us to craft your lead before it is shipped out to you but personalised may take longer, get in touch for details.

  • We take immense pride in our craftsmanship. If your lead experiences a defect in the braiding or hardware within the first 28 days of normal walking use, please reach out to us with a photo so we can make it right by repairing or replacing it.

  • UK delivery is £3 per order plus £1 per item, so a single lead comes to £4 postage and two leads to £5. We post within the UK only at the moment. Every lead is braided to order, so please allow the making time above before your lead is posted.
